Zelenskyy says he met Kravchenko, NABU and SAPO chiefs

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he met on Sept. 7 with Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko and the heads of NABU and SAPO, after which Kravchenko submitted a resignation letter now headed to the Verkhovna Rada. The meeting followed a NABU and SAPO investigation into an alleged protection scheme shielding fraudulent call centers, with a deputy in Kravchenko's own department, Serhii Kropyva, held pending trial on charges involving over 89 million hryvnias in laundered assets.

Searches of Kravchenko's deputy reportedly turned up materials indicating surveillance of the anti-corruption agencies' own leadership, their families, and subordinates, according to sources cited by Ukrainska Pravda. The Prosecutor General's Office initially denied any search of Kravchenko occurred, then confirmed two days later that NABU detectives had in fact conducted overnight investigative actions in his and his deputy's offices.

Kravchenko has denied any procedural status in the case and characterized the episode as political pressure. Zelenskyy also met separately with the heads of the SBU and military intelligence, saying only that 'relevant decisions' had been made without elaborating.
