Wildberries, Russia's online marketplace, is soliciting bids for 478,000 square meters of galvanized steel mesh to cover logistics centers in eight regions, according to The Bell. The tender doesn't state a purpose, but an industry source suggested it's meant to shield warehouses from drone strikes, calling a full metal perimeter fence the cheapest option with no regulatory hurdles beyond ordinary building codes.

So far bids have come in for only three of the eight regions, at 154 to 474 rubles per square meter, putting the total cost between roughly 73.6 million and 226.5 million rubles.
