Calling a retiree an 'Everyday American, Senior Tax-Relief Beneficiary' on a convention program is the kind of label a marketing department writes, not a neighbor. Throwing a big party while the polling numbers sag is an old trick, the band plays loudest right before the roof starts leaking. History says the math is against them, and a slogan about red states beating blue ones won't change what the odometer reads.
