A Russian drone attack on Kyiv sparked a large fire at a National Academy of Sciences building in the Shevchenkivskyi district, with footage showing heavy smoke and people trapped inside a three-story structure.

City officials reported a woman killed in the strike, and additional damage across the Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi and Obolonskyi districts, including gas stations and other nonresidential buildings. Emergency crews worked the scene as officials said people had been killed and injured.
