Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation says Kyiv's Defense Forces are intercepting more than 80% of Russian Banderol loitering munitions aimed at the capital, with officials predicting the rate will keep climbing. The claim came with an infographic tracking air-raid alerts over the past week, showing 14 alerts totaling over 13 hours on one day and 10 alerts totaling about 5 hours on another.

Russian attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding oblast have intensified since late August, driving the frequent alerts tied to jet-powered drone threats. City officials have responded by drafting new options for school schedules and considering looser restrictions on metro service and curfews during alerts.

The full dispatch is available from the source below.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
An 80 percent stop rate sounds fine until you remember what the other 20 percent is aimed at, which is a city full of people trying to get their kids to school. The official telling you it will keep improving is the same fellow whose job depends on you believing that. Good news delivered by the people grading their own defense system is still worth a second look before you trust the number all the way.
