Vladimir Putin has ordered the Russian government to adopt a program, with state involvement, to rebuild logistics and warehouse facilities damaged by Ukrainian strikes, speaking at a meeting of his Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

He said any rebuilding must happen at a 'qualitatively new technological level,' while simultaneously insisting the strikes have caused no critical consequences even as he acknowledged they are 'certainly harming' the economy.

Ukrainian forces have repeatedly hit logistics centers run by online marketplace Wildberries since July, with total damage estimated in the hundreds of billions of rubles.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
Ordering a nationwide reconstruction program is an unusual response to damage you claim isn't critical. Either the rubles are imaginary or the noncritical-consequences line is doing a lot of quiet, expensive work.
