Russian missiles and drones struck across Ukraine overnight on September 17, damaging warehouses, offices, and residential buildings in Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported 16 people injured, including two children ages 10 and 12, with most casualties coming from a 16-story apartment building hit by a drone in the Dniprovskyi District, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

In Odesa, strikes damaged a 19-story residential building and injured six people, including two children, city military administration head Serhii Lysak said.

Russia's Defense Ministry described the overnight strikes as hitting metallurgical, radio-electronic, and defense-industry facilities along with energy, transportation infrastructure, and naval vessels in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and the Odesa region. It did not mention the apartment towers.
