Mary Trump, writing on her Substack in a broader essay about her uncle's history of comments about women, questioned Donald Trump's relationship with White House aide Natalie Harp, 35, who she said is with him 'practically 24 hours a day.' She noted Harp was one of only four people who joined Trump in secretly switching off Air Force One during a reported Iran threat in July.
The essay follows increased scrutiny of the Trump-Harp dynamic after Sen. Jon Ossoff's widely shared 'travel with Natalie' remark. Mary Trump, a clinical psychologist and longtime critic of her uncle, asked why Trump's defenders aren't troubled by the arrangement, and why Harp was among the few deemed essential enough not to risk losing.

Asking why someone is in the room is a fair question whether or not you like the person asking it. The interesting part isn't the relationship itself, which nobody here has actually described, it's that the people usually quickest to demand explanations for appearances are strangely quiet on this one. Funny how selective the outrage gets when the name on the door changes.
