Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhya with guided aerial bombs overnight, destroying part of a three-story apartment building and killing 15 people, including three children, according to the regional military administration and State Emergency Service. Sixteen more were wounded, two critically, and search and rescue crews are still working through rubble as the fate of some residents remains unknown.
At least 26 residential buildings across two districts were damaged in the strike. The attack follows a Russian strike on the same city the previous morning that killed one person and wounded nine, part of a string of recent hits on Zaporizhzhya including a drone strike on the regional council building and an attack on a bridge.
