Moldovan police found drone debris across the Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă, Hâncești and Anenii Noi districts on the morning of October 3 after residents reported a series of explosions, according to the General Police Inspectorate. No deaths or injuries were reported.
Fragments turned up near several villages, alongside vegetation fires including one in a vineyard that shattered windows in a nearby agricultural building. Authorities have not yet determined the full circumstances or publicly identified the drones.
The incidents coincided with a large-scale Russian drone attack on neighboring Odesa Oblast, and follow a similar episode on September 30 in which a crashed drone damaged a civilian communications antenna. Moldova briefly restricted its airspace during that earlier incident.
