Ukrainian drones strike Russia’s Perm, killing one

Ukrainian drones struck the Russian city of Perm on September 7, with one hitting a multistory apartment building, according to Telegram channels that monitor such strikes and published witness video. Perm Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed one death and at least four wounded.

A monitoring channel claimed the strike also hit the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery, one of Russia's largest, though that claim remains unconfirmed by officials. The same refinery has reportedly been hit before, including an August 21 strike that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed.

Russia's Defense Ministry said 306 drones were shot down overnight across the country, and drone alerts were declared in three more regions. In Chuvashia, a cell tower was damaged, according to the regional governor.
