Satellite imagery reviewed by an OSINT analyst shows Russia constructing underground production facilities at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, where Shahed-type drones are assembled, reportedly covering around 42,000 square meters so far.

The analyst says the move follows earlier Ukrainian strikes on the site and comes alongside dispersal of supporting infrastructure and additional protective measures.

Other reporting cited in the piece describes the site's expansion exceeding 1,000 hectares, with claimed production capacity up to 11,000 drones per month, alongside earlier findings of a 340-hectare expansion and a ringed tower defense system photographed in August.
