Ukrainian forces use amphibious robot for front-line supply mission for first time

The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out their first logistics mission using a Ukrainian-made amphibious unmanned ground vehicle, the Defense Ministry said, with troops from a separate mechanized brigade sending the robot more than 40 kilometers across land and water to deliver supplies and ammunition to front-line positions.

The vehicle's selling point is that it does not need to switch platforms when a river, canal or wetland blocks a route, since it can drive on land and continue moving once it enters water. The Defense Ministry and the Brave1 procurement platform have been backing amphibious UGV development, adding a dedicated grant category for the vehicles back in June.

The ministry framed the mission as expanding the technological toolkit available to troops carrying out combat missions, a description that is hard to argue with given the video evidence of a robot doing exactly that.
