A Russian drone strike set fire to a building belonging to Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences in central Kyiv, killing at least two people. Videos posted on social media showed people inside trying to escape the burning building through its windows, and local authorities said additional people were injured.

The German Embassy and a Ukrtelecom office sit roughly 300 meters from the academy building.
