Jimmy Kimmel used his Wednesday show to highlight the rocky debut of 'Trump TV: The Essentials Station,' which launched this week to thin viewership on YouTube. Citing the Daily Beast, Kimmel said the channel lost nearly 95% of its audience within three days, peaking at about 8,500 viewers Monday night before falling below 500 by Wednesday morning.

Kimmel connected the numbers to Trump's long history of fixating on and inflating his ratings, dating back to his reality-TV days and continuing through disputes over inauguration crowd size. He noted that, unlike crowd photos, YouTube's live viewer counts are hard to spin, before joking that only the Strait of Hormuz was doing worse.
