MS NOW's Stephanie Ruhle devoted her Tuesday show to fact-checking President Trump's address to the United Nations General Assembly, and one onscreen chyron summarized the speech as: “Trump touts being a peacemaker while asking if he should annihilate Iran.” Both halves check out against the transcript — Trump did tout his peacemaking record and did muse aloud about whether to “annihilate the Islamic Republic.”
Senior MS NOW reporter Brandy Zadrozny posted a screenshot on X calling for a bonus for whoever wrote the line, and the post spread quickly among commentators calling it everything from “masterpiece” to “Nobel prize worthy.” MS NOW is among the outlets Trump has barred from White House grounds.

A newsroom banned from the briefing room still managed to fit the whole speech into one sentence, which tells you the ban was never really about access. When the most quoted line of a president's U.N. address is a summary written by the outlet he won't let in the building, somebody's strategy needs a second look. The annihilation musing and the peacemaker boast happened in the same speech, and no editorializing was required to notice that.
