Russia strikes Kyiv and surrounding region, killing more than 10 people

Russian strikes on Kyiv's Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts overnight killed at least eight people and injured five, including three children, per Ukraine's State Emergency Service. A separate strike on railway infrastructure, including a depot, killed seven more, six of them railway employees.

In the Kyiv region, ballistic missiles and drones killed four and injured 13, damaging homes and infrastructure in Boryspil, where rescuers evacuated 48 people. Strikes also hit the Orlivka ferry crossing on the Ukraine-Romania border, suspending operations, and damaged buildings in the Odesa region.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed its forces targeted military enterprises, energy facilities, and port infrastructure in Kyiv and Odesa.
