Yandex's data center in Kaluga, the company's largest facility at 130,000 square meters with a 63-megawatt design capacity, was hit by a drone strike that knocked out several modules, the company said, warning that some services may face interruptions.
The attack came one day after a separate strike started a fire at another Yandex data center in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast, causing failures across Russian services; Kaluga's governor said 26 drones were shot down over the region overnight.
Ukrainian military officials have not commented on either strike, and the actual server load at the Kaluga site at the time of the attack has not been disclosed.
