Actor Amanda Seyfried said at a Hamptons International Film Festival panel that she passed on a television role because it would have required frequent sex scenes, saying she is simply not comfortable with it right now. She contrasted the decision with her younger years, when filming such scenes felt effortless and even fun.

Seyfried, who has two children, said her kids paying closer attention to her work has shifted her comfort level, though she left open the possibility of revisiting such roles later. She joins other actors, including Penn Badgley, who have publicly described similar limits on intimate on-screen work.
