Ukrainian expert Beskrestnov debunks rumor of FPV-carrying jet drones in Kyiv raids

Serhii ‘Flash’ Beskrestnov, a Ukrainian presidential defense technology advisor, said no physical evidence backs claims that Russia is launching FPV drones from jet-powered attack platforms during the current wave of strikes on Kyiv. He said Russia has spent over a year testing FPV drones piggybacked on the wings of conventional Shahed or Gerbera drones, controlled via LTE modems, but the propeller-driven versions are used because the piggyback rigs frequently lose contact and crash.

The clarification comes as jet-powered Shahed strikes have hit Kyiv for nine consecutive days, with air raid sirens sounding seven times on September 3 alone and fresh damage reported at warehouses in the region.
