Russian marketplace sellers started storing goods in own warehouses after drone strikes

Nearly all sellers on Russia's Wildberries marketplace have shifted to storing goods in their own warehouses rather than the company's, with the share using self-storage nearly doubling to 97.4% by the end of August, according to bank data cited by Kommersant. A similar shift happened at Ozon, where self-storage use rose to 73.1%.

Wildberries acknowledged rising interest in the model but declined to call it a mass shift; Ozon did not comment. Ukrainian drone strikes have hit all of Wildberries' major warehouses since mid-July, with damage estimated in the hundreds of billions of rubles, and a deputy industry minister has suggested some facilities may simply not be rebuilt.
