The Houthis claimed to have fired a ballistic missile at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, along with strikes on Aden's airport, Abha airport and a Saudi air base, as fighting with Yemen's government intensifies. The Saudi-led coalition said the Riyadh missile was intercepted, while Saudi authorities have not confirmed any strikes or the airport closures tracked independently by Flightradar24.

The UN reports more than 200,000 people displaced inside Yemen since the civil war reignited in July after a four-year ceasefire, with the Houthis seizing the Red Sea coastline last month in the deadliest fighting in years. New clashes this week killed at least 62 combatants, and a Houthi missile strike on government-held Taiz wounded five civilians, according to Yemeni officials.
