Russian attack kills four in Boryspil and damages homes

A Russian attack on Kyiv Oblast overnight killed four people and injured 13 in Boryspil, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Ukraine's State Emergency Service having earlier reported three dead and 12 injured as the toll was updated during rescue operations.

In Boryspil, a five-story apartment building, a store and two private houses were damaged, three cars burned, and emergency crews evacuated 48 people and pulled two from rubble. Elsewhere in the city a truck fire, a damaged company building and a hit service station brought the city's overall dead to seven and injured past twenty, with surrounding villages Hryhorivka and Husachivka also reporting damaged homes and infrastructure.

Separately, a targeted ballistic missile strike hit a railway depot and other Ukrainian Railways facilities in Kyiv, killing seven people, six of them railway employees, and destroying a workshop entirely. Kyiv had already logged 11 air-raid alerts the previous day amid near-continuous drone attacks since Aug. 27.
