Oregon Humane's Board of Directors has selected Frank So as the organization's next CEO, chosen from hundreds of applicants after a search that included input from more than 350 staff, volunteers, and community members. So most recently led Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, a statewide group serving refugees, immigrants, and domestic violence survivors, and previously worked in international humanitarian work, diplomacy, and at the White House.
So grew up in Beaverton, is half Peruvian and half Thai, fluent in Spanish, and already participates in the organization's community events with his two adopted dogs. He starts the role on September 28.
