Russian forces struck two gas stations in Kyiv, one in the Dniprovskyi district and one in the Obolonskyi district, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The Obolonskyi station was hit twice, with a second strike landing shortly after the first; two people were killed and eight injured, six of them hospitalized, including a rescuer who had responded to the initial strike.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service confirmed the casualties. Russia has repeatedly targeted gas stations across Ukraine in recent weeks, a pattern that Rybar, a Telegram channel close to Russia's Defense Ministry, says began ramping up in spring, with other pro-war channels framing it as an effort to induce fuel shortages in frontline cities.
