Lions HC Dan Campbell expects big season from fifth-year defender

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters he expects edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson to build on his 2024 season, now further removed from the broken leg that ended that campaign early. Campbell praised Hutchinson's offseason conditioning and called him a complete defensive end.

Hutchinson, 26, returned from the injury to post a career-high 54 tackles and 14.5 sacks, earning a Pro Bowl nod and a runner-up finish for Comeback Player of the Year. The No. 2 overall pick in 2022 now has 43 career sacks across four seasons.
