A poll finds Britons split on whether Prime Minister Andy Burnham governs any differently from his predecessor Sir Keir Starmer, even though many say he sounds different. Some 44 percent told pollsters they believe Burnham is fundamentally the same as Starmer in practice.
The piece offers little beyond the topline split, leaving open exactly what policy differences, if any, respondents were weighing when they answered.

Sounding different and being different are two separate line items, and the public seems to know it. A change in accent at the podium doesn't necessarily show up on the invoice. Forty-four percent unconvinced is a modest number until you remember it means the other side isn't exactly singing from the rooftops either.
