Fire breaks out at Primorsko-Akhtarsk airbase used for Shahed launches — satellite images

Monitoring channel Crimean Wind reported fires at the Primorsko-Akhtarsk military airfield in Krasnodar Krai late on September 13, citing satellite thermal imaging that detected heat anomalies near the runway and in scrubland along the perimeter. The airbase is described as a known launch and logistics site for Russian drone strikes on Ukraine.

The report follows an August 21 statement from President Zelenskyy that Ukrainian forces had struck a facility at the same base used to store, prepare, and launch one-way attack drones against Ukrainian cities.
