Carville made the case on his podcast, framing it as the only theory that accounts for the president's actions, while acknowledging it sounds unhinged even to him.
He also predicted the GOP's Dallas midterm convention, where Trump is speaking both days, will go badly for the party, and renewed an earlier prediction that Trump will leave office by Easter 2027 under pressure from Democratic majorities.
