Deaf teenager reportedly killed in Ukrainian missile strike on Ozon warehouse in Russia’s Belgorod

A 16-year-old deaf student, David Z., was killed when a Ukrainian missile struck an Ozon warehouse in Belgorod on August 30, according to relatives who spoke to a Russian Telegram channel. He had taken the job for extra money during summer break; two classmates who worked the same shift were hospitalized.

His parents have already spent 90,000 rubles on funeral arrangements and relatives have started a fundraiser, saying regional authorities have not contacted the family. Three people total were killed and 16 injured in the strike, which also hit a power plant, according to initial reports.
