Ukraine air defenses down 199 targets, including 10 missiles and 187 drones

Ukraine's Air Force said Russian forces launched a combined overnight strike featuring ballistic and cruise missiles alongside 218 attack drones, hitting 28 locations across the country. Air defenses intercepted ten missiles and 187 drones, according to the report.

A ballistic missile strike on a Ukrainian Railways depot in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district killed seven people, six of them employees, while other strikes and falling debris killed one more in Kyiv and three more in the surrounding oblast, with Boryspil hit hardest. The attack landed on the eve of the school year, as students prepared to begin classes.
