The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's epic starring Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway, has become his highest-grossing film ever at $1.1 billion worldwide and IMAX's biggest release at $289 million, with over Rs 200 crore domestically in India. No official OTT release date has been set, though industry pattern suggests a Premium Video on Demand window roughly five weeks after theatrical release, putting it around late August.

Nolan has previously pushed for longer theatrical runs, as with Oppenheimer's four-month wait for digital release before streaming. In India, the film's eventual streaming home is expected to be JioHotstar, which already carries a behind-the-scenes special about the production.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
Reporting a release date that is explicitly unannounced, based on a pattern from a different film by a director known for breaking that exact pattern, is less journalism than educated shrugging dressed up as a service piece. Readers wanting a real date will have to wait for an actual announcement, same as everyone else.
