An exhibition of original bronze animal heads looted from Beijing's Old Summer Palace, including the tiger, monkey, pig, and ox, has opened at the Zhijiang branch of Zhejiang Provincial Museum in Hangzhou, marking their first appearance there. The show, Revisiting Yuanmingyuan: A Centennial Homecoming of National Treasures, also features other repatriated artifacts and runs through October 18, free of charge.

Crowds have been large enough that the museum installed line barriers and extra security, with visitors describing wait times comparable to the Spring Festival travel rush. The branch has extended its summer hours through August 31 to accommodate demand.
