Netflix is reviving “A Different World” as a 10-episode dramedy centered on Deborah Wayne, daughter of original characters Whitley and Dwayne, who enrolls at Hillman College on academic probation after losing her spot at NYU. She's joined by five new students forming what the outlet calls the “Big Six.”

Original cast members including Whitley, Dwayne, Freddie and Ron return alongside the new ensemble, bridging the show's 1980s HBCU setting with its current reboot. HuffPost interviewed the new cast about stepping into the show's legacy.
