Russian forces struck two gas stations along the Kyiv-Chop highway in Zhytomyr Oblast on Sept. 21, according to regional governor Vitalii Bunechko. The first strike hit a station near Zviahel on the M-06 highway; a follow-up strike shortly after hit a WOG-brand filling complex in the same district.

Firefighting crews worked the blazes under continued air raid alerts, complicating containment efforts, Bunechko said. No civilian casualties or injuries were reported. Ukraine's Air Force had earlier warned regional authorities of turbojet-powered strike drones moving through the oblast's airspace.
