Two killed after Russian drone hits private home in Zaporizhzhya

A Russian drone struck a residential area of Zaporizhzhya overnight on September 12, destroying a private house and trapping people under rubble as fire spread through the site. Two people died and one was injured, according to Zaporizhzhya Oblast Defense Council chief Ivan Fedorov: a 64-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were killed, and a 59-year-old woman was hurt.

Rescuers initially pulled two people from the wreckage alive; one later died. The strike is the latest in a string of recent attacks on the city, following a September 7 drone hit on a shopping center and a September 5 strike on residential and administrative buildings that injured six people.
