A woman in a Russian border city, identified only as Angelina, told the outlet Vot Tak that men in military uniforms abducted her from a gym parking lot two days after she rebuffed a uniformed man's advances outside a store. She said masked men dragged her into a car, took her phone, put a bag over her head, and questioned her for hours about Ukraine, the Freedom of Russia Legion, and details of her private life she had never posted publicly.
At one point a man threatened to handcuff and shock her unless she confessed to something. She was eventually dropped near her actual home, an address she had never disclosed to anyone involved, and told not to file a complaint. She has not gone to police and says she is trying not to think about whether the men will return.
