BJP workers repainted the ticket counter of Kolkata's Academy of Fine Arts saffron on Wednesday, one day after theatre figures had painted over an earlier saffron job with white.

BJP legislator Rudranil Ghosh led the repainting, accusing the CPI(M) of controlling the institution through its trade union wing and disrespecting the color saffron.

State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya had told media in July he would identify and act against whoever painted the counter saffron the first time; he was unavailable for comment Wednesday, as the counter he promised to fix got painted saffron again by his own party's workers.
