The Giants acquired quarterback J.J. McCarthy from the Vikings this week after starter Jaxson Dart suffered a serious knee injury, though Jameis Winston remains the starter for now. McCarthy, the No. 10 pick in 2024, struggled in Minnesota, but Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons said on his podcast that McCarthy's Michigan background under Jim Harbaugh could translate well to a similar run-heavy, play-action system under John Harbaugh in New York.

The 2-1 Giants host the Cardinals in Week 4 on Sunday, with McCarthy's role still undetermined.
