Eight government lawyers went looking for a scandal and came back with one recorded conversation about a kid talking to a school employee. That is a mighty small hook to hang a federal lawsuit on, the kind of thing a person builds a barn around one loose nail. Whatever you think about the underlying issue, filing suit before you can even say how often the thing you're suing about actually happened is putting the cart so far ahead of the horse the horse can't see it anymore.
