Estonia accuses Russian intelligence services of ordering arson at defense-robotics company supplying Ukraine

Estonia's Foreign Ministry has concluded that an August arson attack on a Milrem Robotics building in Tallinn was sabotage ordered by Russian intelligence services, Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said, citing the country's Internal Security Service. Estonia summoned Russia's chargé d'affaires over the accusation, which the Kremlin dismissed as 'groundless' and 'without any supporting arguments.'

The fire, quickly extinguished with no injuries, hit a facility belonging to Milrem Robotics, maker of the THeMIS uncrewed military ground vehicles used by Ukraine. Three Latvian citizens were detained in connection with the case. Russia offered a two-million-ruble reward in 2022 for capturing THeMIS robots from the battlefield.
