Fire Point says Ukraine’s FP-7 ballistic missile nears combat testing

Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh said Ukraine's FP-7 ballistic missile has completed two of three testing stages and could become operational within weeks, speaking at a defense exhibition in Poland. The company's longer-range FP-9, reportedly comparable to the U.S. ATACMS with a range over 800 kilometers, is still in flight testing.

Terekh said Ukraine lacks sufficient territory to fully flight-test the FP-9 and suggested the final testing phase may effectively occur in combat use against Russia. President Zelenskyy has previously said Ukraine's first combat use of a domestically built ballistic missile could come as early as this fall.
