President Trump said he urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop striking Russian diesel production facilities, telling reporters at a golf tournament that the strikes are 'hurting the world' and that there are 'plenty of other targets.' U.S. diesel prices have crossed $6 a gallon for the first time, according to Reuters, a cost that ripples into trucking, farming, and everything they carry.
Reuters attributes the price rise mainly to climbing global oil prices, with Brent crude at $107.60 and WTI at $102.50 a barrel, driven by the ongoing U.S. and Israeli war with Iran. Trump instead pinned the shortage on 'what's happening with Russia and Ukraine,' leaving the Iran conflict conspicuously out of his own explanation.

It takes a certain talent to stand at a golf tournament and blame the guy defending his own country for a fuel price hike your own war probably did more to cause. Diesel doesn't care whose narrative it's in, it just follows the crude price, and right now that price is following bombs the president himself signed off on.
