Explosions and gunfire were reported overnight in Yevpatoria and the Simferopol region of occupied Crimea, with blasts also reported near the Hvardiiske airbase, according to local monitoring channels. Russian occupation authorities have not commented or detailed any damage.
The attack follows the reported destruction of the Chonhar road bridge linking Crimea to occupied Kherson Oblast, confirmed by satellite imagery in early October, and an earlier strike on a Nyzhnohirskyi substation that cut power and water across parts of the peninsula. Analysts estimate Crimea now has only about a quarter of the generation capacity it needs for winter, with peak demand reaching 1,780 megawatts against a shrinking set of operational plants.
