Duane Davis gave conflicting accounts about night of Tupac Shakur shooting

Duane 'Keffe D' Davis, on trial for Tupac Shakur's 1996 murder, told a 2017 documentary crew he didn't know who fired the shots that killed the rapper, saying he only remembered ducking. That contradicts a 2008 law enforcement interview in which Davis said he was in the car, handed a gun to Deandre Smith, who passed it to Davis's nephew Orlando Anderson, who then fired.

Prosecutors argue Davis's anger over an earlier beating Anderson took at the MGM Grand — an attack jurors heard Shakur participated in — helped motivate the shooting. Witness Leonard Jefferson, who took the last known photo of Shakur alive, testified to hearing Suge Knight shout that Tupac had been shot.

Davis has also claimed Sean 'Diddy' Combs offered $1 million to kill Shakur, an allegation Combs denies and faces no charges over. Davis's attorney says his client would simply 'bullshit' in interviews and disputes that prosecutors can even place him in Las Vegas that night.
