Two years after the water came through, the thing that shows up is a truckload of robotics kits with three company names stamped on the side. Nobody's against a school getting new gear, and that assistant principal who waded in during the flood has earned a whole lot more than a mention in a press release. But a donation announcement dressed up as a visit is still a donation announcement, and Ashe County has been rebuilding for two years without much help from a software license.
