Monitoring channels reported an overnight drone attack on the Tsymbulova military complex in Russia's Oryol Oblast, one of the country's largest facilities for storing and launching strike drones, with NASA's FIRMS satellite system detecting thermal anomalies beginning around 1:33 a.m. Neither the damage nor the attack itself has been independently confirmed by Ukrainian authorities.
The base has expanded significantly, with an Oct. 1 Ukrainska Pravda investigation estimating 23 launchers, 387 garages and 26 underground storage facilities, alongside new infrastructure for jet-powered drones. Ukraine's Defense Forces previously struck the same base on Sept. 21, reportedly damaging multiple storage facilities and launch sites.
