Ukrainian drones struck the Russian city of Saratov overnight on September 8, according to Governor Roman Busargin, damaging several buildings and injuring 10 people, three of them children, six of whom were hospitalized. Busargin said a temporary relocation center had been opened for affected residents but offered no further detail.

Ukrainian monitoring channels reported the strikes hit the Saratov oil refinery, a repeat target, and a military airfield in nearby Engels that Ukrainian forces have targeted before. Russia's Defense Ministry said it shot down 384 Ukrainian drones overnight across Russian territory and occupied Crimea.
