FAB-500 damages 32 apartment buildings, hotel and kindergarten in Sloviansk

Russian forces struck central Sloviansk with a FAB-500 aerial bomb on Aug. 31, injuring four people and destroying part of an apartment building and a private house, according to the city's military administration chief. At least 32 apartment buildings, a hotel, a kindergarten and several vehicles were also damaged.

The strike came days after an earlier Aug. 26 attack on the same city damaged residential buildings and a century-old printing house. Overnight, Russia also launched a broader assault using a Kh-59 missile and 121 Shahed-type drones, most of which Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed.
