Poland receives 28 South Korean-made K2 tanks

Poland received 28 South Korean-made K2 tanks assigned to the 16th Mechanized Division near the Kaliningrad border, part of a contract signed in August 2025, Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced. Future deliveries will shift to the K2PL variant, partly manufactured with Polish components starting in 2028.

The Polish version will add drone-jamming electronic warfare systems, active protection against incoming threats, reinforced armor, and a remotely operated weapon station, while keeping the original design's adjustable suspension and autoloader.
